Unicorn Party
This series is aimed at sharing some real life party inspo and how you can achieve the same look using our products. We want you to feel empowered to have a go at creating your own unique party lewk, and hopefully this series will help inspire you to flex those creative muscles.
UNICORN PARTY
If you have a mini human at home, you would know alllll about how popular unicorns are right now - they are very "on trend". I mean who wouldn't love a unicorn right?! They are magical and sparkly and have super powers! The minute we saw our Unicorn Dessert Plates we knew you would luuuurve them as much as we did!
In our Live, Em started by setting the table with a basic white tablecloth and then placed a sparkly piece of material over the top. This material was on the clearance rack at spotlight and cost less than $10 for 2 metres. Fabric like this can really make your celebration table 'pop' and means that you need less decorations to really dress up your table; let the fabric and plates form the centrepiece of your table.
Once the linen and fabric was placed, Em started setting the table with the paper table ware that she had chosen. Wanting to keep it super simple, but still impactful, Em went with our Gold Charger Plates, Ombre Dinner Plates and Unicorn Dessert Places for the table settings. Adding the matching Ombre Cups and Pink Cutlery helped to tie it all in together.
Em deliberately wanted this table setting to be very simple - as if your mini human had decided at the last minute that they did, in fact, want to have a party and you only had a very short period of time in which to set it up. So, when it came to decorating the table once the place settings were down, honeycombs were the key! They take 5 mins to put together and, the best part, they can be reused if you use the paper clips instead of the double sided tape.
Picking the main colours from "Gloria's" (our gawwwwgesss Unicorn), mane, Em chose pinks, aqua and blue honeycombs in both bells and balls to place down the centre of the table. She also found the cutest mini unicorn piñata to add to the overall "unicorn-ness" of the table setting.
Hot Tips - Placing the cake stands before your honeycombs will help you to balance the table setting and ensure that you are able to make room for all the food you want placed as well as for decorations. You can always decorated around a cake stand - trying to fit one in afterwards is a nightmare!!
Em added the cakes right at the end and dressed them up with our Hip Hip Hooray Cake Toppers. And that's it! A really super simple Unicorn party set-up that took less than 20 mins in the Live (and would only take you 10 mins max if you were doing it without filming).
